Cross-border logistics operator African Union Cargo Namibia (AUCNAM) has expanded its regional efficiencies to include several West African countries.
The globally mandated agent, based in Walvis Bay, already offers Fiche Electronique de Renseignement à l’Importation (Feri) certificates for the Office de Gestion du Fret Multimodal (Ogefrem), the multimodal freight agency in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Its service offering now also includes Bordereau Électronique de Suivi des Cargaisons (BESC) and Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) certificates – essential documentation required for various modes of transport into Angola, Ghana, Benin, Burkina Faso, Libya, Niger and Guinea.
In a statement, the company said: “This expansion underscores AUCNAM’s commitment to facilitating seamless trade and transportation for businesses and organisations operating within and beyond Africa.
“This will allow freight forwarders and cargo exporters alike to enjoy a smooth and hassle-free service for their BESC/ECTN certification from AUCNAM.
“These newly certified regions will benefit from enhanced trade flow, ensuring that businesses can continue to meet regulatory requirements while optimising their supply chains.”
Projects manager Dornay Swartz says work in the DRC paved the company’s way in West Africa, enabling AUCNAM to offer ECTN and BESC certifications for various other African countries.
“We are dedicated to providing an efficient, reliable, accurate and fast issuance service to our existing and future clients. This opportunity and add-on service supports our vision of continuous growth and further streamlining logistics throughout Africa.
“Our strengthened partnerships and client relationships are the key to our expansion and our mission to expand our footprint not only in freight pre-clearance and tracking but also in various trade opportunities.”
