Expansion planned for E Cape ports

THE EASTERN Cape ports of East London and Ngqura should not be seen to be in conflict with each other, and there is a need to balance them as 'hubs' for the development of their respective hinterlands, says Department of Public Enterprises chief director Andile Nkuhlu. He was responding to a recent comment in Parliament made by Public Enterprises Minister Jeff Radebe that while development at Ngqura (Coega) will commence in July, plans are afoot for expansions in East London as well.
