Both local and international
captains of industry are beginning
to see light through the mist of the
recession, according to a newly
published report.
“Buoyed by a sustained stock
market rally, however slight
in some countries, executive
attitudes about the state of the
global economy ticked up in
March, though the majority still
feel we are in the midst of a
‘severe recession’ according to
results from the latest Executive
Quiz released by The Korn/
Ferry Institute,” says Raymond
Chasenski, managing director of
executive search firm Leaders
Unlimited.
Because South Africa usually
lagged a number of months behind
the United States and Europe the
uptick was not as strong as it was
in those countries, he said.
“We will probably only see a
comparable growth in positive
sentiment in the second half of the
year,” he added.
