Exam time looms for ICS students

AS THE Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers’ April exam deadline looms, South African students around the world are preparing to sit the exams this year – from Bangkok to Ghana, Namibia to Kenya. For locally-based students, the annual ICS Prep weekend was held in Glengarry recently. “Enrolment for TutorShip courses (the Foundation Diploma and Professional Qualifying Exams) can now be finalised with a view to sitting the April 2009 exams,” ICS administration manager Fiona de Goede told FTW. “The latest specialist subject, Port and Terminal Management, will also be written in South Africa for the first time this year.” Results will be made available in August and prize-winners will be notified shortly thereafter.
