THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) agriculture ministers have just confirmed their commitment to strengthening relations with developing countries on trade in food and agricultural products, according to trade consultants Deloittes. To support this trade, clear food safety rules have been put in place by the European Commission (EC), supported with a set of guidelines as to how the rules are to be applied.
