"Forwarding Practice 2nd Year: Class of 2000" exam results have just been released to the students, Edward Little, executive director of SAAFF (SA Association of Freight Forwarders) told FTW.
Top student overall was Faizel Bobat of Heneways Freight in Durban.
The top dissertation was written by Jaques Theron of Freitan, Namibia.
His subject was: "A comparative study: Bilateral trade between Germany and SA - including the role and function of the freight forwarder".
A new format for the SAAFF-approved courses are due in 2002, Little added.
"The forwarding and customs courses," he said, "are being reconstituted into outcomes-based format - that is, based on unit standards.
"It is expected that they will be made available in this format from the beginning of next year."
