TERRY HUTSON With the addition of a second vessel, Angola South has been able to include Durban on its schedule for the first time since the service began 13 years ago, says Captain Brian Hawkins of Durban ships agent, Mainport Africa Shipping. Mainport Africa has been appointed as the Durban agent for the line, with Meihuizen International remaining the Cape Town agent and Seascape looking after the Johannesburg interests of the line. Having two ships of similar size means clients can ship on this service out of Durban and Cape Town every 14 days calling at all Angolan ports, Hawkins said. One of its strong points is that it calls at all the Angolan ports including Namibe, Soyo, Cabinda, Lobito, Malongo and Luanda. The line accepts breakbulk, bulk, reefer and containerised cargoes to all these ports.
