FREIGHT FORWARDING major Safcor achieved one of its milestones when it was recently awarded SABS ISO 9002 certification for its Natal operation.

Effective quality management is critical in a service business such as ours, Safcor regional director Errol Cawood told the assembled guests at a gala event at the Durban Playhouse. The ISO 9002 certification brings Safcor Durban into line with its operation in Gauteng and with the company's global forwarding partner Panalpina. The next step will be to extend the system to its operation in Cape Town, Cawood said.
