Today sees the inauguration by DSV of its new Gauteng headquarters, DSV Park Gauteng.

According to the company, the facility – located near OR Tambo International Airport – is the largest integrated logistics centre of its kind in Africa.

It comprises approximately 130 000 square metres of buildings and covers supply chain solutions from first to last mile, controlled and managed under one roof by DSV.

Africa CEO Keith Pienaar said the park underlined the company’s strong commitment and would grow business in South Africa.

“DSV Park Gauteng consolidates several smaller offices and warehouses around Johannesburg into one large, modern logistics centre,” he said.

The complex houses a logistics warehouse of 79 000 square metres, a cross-dock facility of 41 000 square metres, and 10 000 square metres of office space.

Among its innovative solutions is a sorter that can handle 13 000 packages in a single hour.

DSV is also building a consolidating logistics centre in the Western Cape called DSV Park Cape Town. It will be located near the Cape Town International Airport, and close to the harbour and industrial and commercial hubs.
