DAL adds e-commerce facilities

DEUTSCHE AFRIKA Linien, the German line on the Europe Southern Africa trade which operates in an alliance with Safmarine, recently introduced e-commerce facilities which will allow customers to book via the internet (INTTRA) or, within the next few weeks, via the DAL web page (www.dal.biz ).
“It is not only the domain of the so called globals to provide such an instrument. A regional carrier like DAL can also be more than competitive in providing customers with a combination of modern technology and a personal, customer-orientated approach,” said Stephan Schiller, deputy managing director of DAL’s Hamburg-based liner agency.
