Cyber crime – how vulnerable are you?

With South Africa rated as the country with the third highest level of cyber crime in the world, the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold a half-day seminar outlining how companies can safeguard their electronic data from both internal and external threats.

“Both large corporations and SMEs are vulnerable. The average cost of being hacked is R1.1m for SMEs and R2.15 m for corporates and it generally takes about 200 days for companies to realise that they have been hacked,” according to the JCCI.

The event, which will feature experts in cyber security and research facilities, will be held on November 23 at JCCI House in Milpark. For further details email Charmain@jcci.co.za
