CUSTOMS HAS given a bit of extra leeway on its request for information on deviations, agreements or special allowances granted to clients - “required,” it said, “for the review of the current policy and procedures on concessions”. The original deadline date for submissions was June 9 but has now been extended to August 31. Up to that date all concessions, deviations, agreements or special allowances communicated to customs “will be allowed to continue until the new policy and procedure is approved and effective”, the customs notice added. But those not communicated by the new date will be revoked from September 1.
