Coronavirus Vaccine Tariff Subheadings Inserted

On 12 February the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced the insertion and substitution of tariff subheadings 3002.20.11; 3002.20.19 and 3002.20.90, in Part 1 of Schedule No.1 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, ‘Ordinary Customs Duty’ in order to provide for vaccines for human medicine for inoculation against Coronavirus and its variants as well as other vaccines. The rates of customs duty are free.
