Controlling the security pipeline pays off

EXPRESS AIR Services takes a no-nonsense approach to cargo security.
“It’s an area of non-compromise at EAS, enjoying strong focus, and this has developed into a clear competitive advantage,” says domestic divisional director Neil Harris. “EAS is fully prepared for the promulgation of the proposed amendment to regulation 1.001.1 of part 1 of the Civil Aviation Regulations of 1997 by the insertion of part 108 “Air Cargo Security”. Cargo screening, security control and the need to be accredited by the CAA as a “regulated agent” will separate the legitimate and serious cargo handling agents from the others,” says Harris.
“We control the entire pipeline from warehouse to aircraft to warehouse within our own operation, not relying on any third party involvement, enabling us to limit loss through theft and damage.
