Supply chain expo THE TWENTY fifth international supply chain management conference and exhibition will be held at Sun City on June 2-4. Organised by SAPICS, the Education Society for Supply Chain anagement, the event is designed for anyone involved in the management, improvement and control of the total supply chain. Fees range from R3 600 per delegate. Road expo Anna Cox THE NATIONAL Roads Agency will host the 22nd congress of the World Road Association at the Durban Exhibition Centre from October 19 to 25 this year. The congress will provide an overview of local and international development in the roads infrastructure sectors. The World Road Association, which is based in Paris, France, has 100 countries as members as well as 2000 institutions. The association undertakes research and provides information on roads and road transport policies and practices within an integrated sustainable context. Exporters Club meet THE CHALLENGES faced by the automotive industry with regard to exports is the topic to be covered by BMW managing director and president of NAAMSA, Ian Robertson, at the next meeting of the ohannesburg chapter of the Exporters Club of South Africa. The breakfast function will be held at the Westcliff Hotel on February 26. The charge for members and their guests is R150 per person, R200 for non-members. Saitex extends focus THE SOUTH African International Trade Exhibition, SAITEX 2003, will take place from September 30 to October 1, 2003 at Gallagher Estate in Midrand. “Although the exhibition has built a strong niche among local organisations and companies from developing nations, part of the medium term plan is to bring in all relevant partners involved in trade with South Africa, including Europe, and North America,” says Craig Newman, chief executive officer of organisers Kagiso Exhibitions.
