CMA CGM AIR CARGO expands its fleet

The CMA CGM Group has added muscle to its airfreight operations with the purchase of two new Boeing 777 freighters.

The company’s dedicated airfreight division, CMA CGM AIR CARGO, was launched in February this year and started commercial operations in March with its first flight between Liege (Belgium) and Chicago.

This was followed by flights to New York, Atlanta, and Dubai.

With a range of 9 200 kilometres, the Boeing 777 can carry a maximum payload of 102 tonnes.

Through its logistics arm, CEVA Logistics, the company handles 400 000 tons of airfreight and 2.8 million tons of inland freight every year.
