Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) recorded steady growth in cargo throughput in October.
Cargo handled by the airport rose by 2.3% to 430 000 tonnes and was mainly driven by the 4% year-on-year growth in exports, with Europe the best performer among HKIA’s key trading regions.
Over the first ten months of 2017, cargo throughput grew by 9.9% to 4.01 million tonnes in comparison to the same period last year.
On a rolling 12-month basis, cargo handled by HKIA climbed 9.8% to 4.88 million tonnes.
