“The Chinese economy is the only one in the world that will probably escape the fall-out from the global recession. I expect they will be buying up from the rest of the world like mad, including acquiring American banks which are currently facing financial crises,” says Margrit Wolff, managing director of Buffalo Freight Systems. “There may be a slowdown in manufacturing but it won’t be as bad as the rest of the world, and China’s economy will withstand less volumes being exported to Europe and America,” she told FTW. In fact, since Wolff expects that the region will be showing huge and continuous growth, Buffalo Freight is currently in discussions regarding new developments and expansion. “Our parent company already has offices in the Far East which we will take advantage of. They are already moving huge volumes out of the Far East across the globe and we want to be part of this,” Wolff explains.
