Africa is open for business with more opportunities than ever before. “The outlook for the continent is very positive,” said Iain Clark, managing director of Chapman Freeborn, Africa. “It is buoyant and there are many exciting opportunities coming our way across Africa.” Clark told FTW that Chapman Freeborn was continuously broadening its footprint across the continent. “There is a growing demand for time-critical equipment in Africa as more and more projects start up,” said Clark. “Whilst the fortunes of the transport and logistics industry are closely connected to the economic cycle, Africa seems to be booming,” he said. “When economic activity is buoyant, demand for transport and logistics services is equally strong. Thus, any slump in global economic growth could have a severe impact on the transport and logistics industry, but at the moment the going in Africa is good.” CAPTION Iain Clark … ‘growing demand for timecritical equipment.’
