Kintetsu World Express South
Africa has restructured its
senior management with the
appointment of Ikuhiro Hojo
and Richard Szabo to jointly
head up the organisation.
They take over from
previous managing director
Arend du Preez who has
steered the company for the
past eight years.
Hojo has a track record in
logistics and supply chain
management and will continue
to head up the sales portfolio
at KWE. Szabo, known
to be a ‘transformational
leader’, will be responsible
for directing and financial
management.
“Both share the same
business aspirations which
are to sustain and grow the
business in southern Africa,”
said company spokesperson,
Toshiyuki Kase, managing
director of KWE Europe
Middle East & Africa.
Said Szabo: “Thanks to
the systems and expertise
we’ve developed over the
years in logistics and freight
forwarding, we’ve evolved
into a global logistics
management partner with
expertise in the oil and
gas, power generation,
mining, heavy engineering,
agricultural and construction
sectors.”
“Our operations in South
Africa form a vital business
node in our EMEA network,”
said Kase.
“The focus at KWE is
on advanced and integrated
supply chain management
solutions,” he added.
“The challenge for us
remains to drive organic
growth and to focus on our
customer needs.”
