A high-level line-up
has been assembled
for Africa’s Transport
infrastructure show to
be held on June 25-26
in Johannesburg. The
event, now in its 16th
year, is designed to
assist operators, endusers,
investors and
government to optimise
their investment into
solid infrastructure for
railways, aviation, ports
and harbours.
“Infrastructure is
not cheap. The huge
investments required to
build railways, invest
in aviation as well as
ports and harbours must
be carefully planned,
not only because of
their great cost, but
also because, once
built, infrastructure
is around for decades.
Investments in transport
infrastructure have a
long horizon,” said a
spokesman organisers.
The show will address
some of these issues.
More than 90
exhibitors and over
2 500 participants from
all across the globe are
expected at the event.
Senior representatives
from the likes of
Transnet, the Department
of Trade and Industry,
Kenya Ports Authority,
Ghana Ports Authority
and Botswana Railways
will be presenting at the
conference.
