CFR launches direct Brazil – PE service

Airfreight office opens NEUTRAL CONSOLIDATOR CFR Freight Port Elizabeth has expanded its service portfolio and opened an airfreight office in the city. “We believe that this serves a specific niche market in the area,” says chairman Uli Hatesohl. “On the seafreight side we have introduced a new service out of Brazil directly to Port Elizabeth with a transit time of 12 days. “It’s been particularly well received by clearing and forwarding agents who represent the automotive industry with its Just in Time needs,” says Hatesohl. Import volumes in general have increased significantly over the past six months, he added, “a fact that can be attributed to our change of agency network earlier this year.”
