Neutral wholesaler CFR Freight has recently started publishing its weekly news updates to clients after running these internally for some time. The team at CFR Freight highlights news affecting predominantly the air and ocean freight aspects of business along with any pertinent road and warehousing (CFS) matters.

“We have been filming and distributing weekly videos for our teams for a while to ensure they are well-informed and can provide a high level of service to clients,” says Stephen Bishop of CFR Freight. “We believe that the quality of information can be of use to all clients and hence our decision to share our market information.”

The format of the weekly news updates includes a high-level overview of air and ocean freight news in under five minutes, along with detailed trade briefs for the different modes in document format. “Many of our clients have told us they wait to receive our weekly trade briefs to circulate within their own teams on various market conditions,” says Nic von Flemming, national sales manager at CFR Freight. “This enables them to make informed decisions and likewise keep their own clients up to date.”

In terms of accessing this information, the CFR Freight team, along with its colleagues at ZacPak, distribute a news flyer to their clients on Tuesday of each week. The flyer includes links to the summary video on their website along with links to their various trade briefs and news articles of interest.

Clients of CFR Freight who wish to receive the weekly news flyers but are not on the mailing list can reach out to their local CFR Freight or ZacPak representative or alternately speak to Jayne Haldane from their marketing team at jhaldane@cfrfreight.co.za

The team at CFR Freight says links to their website are included in advertising banners on the Freight News website or clients can bookmark their news page by clicking on the following link: https://www.cfrfreight.co.za/info-library/videos/
