A NEW vessel-alerting service which informs shippers by email of the arrival of a ship and any date changes is being offered free of charge to all FTW readers with email.
For exporters the system provides details of the opening of stack dates or the latest information regarding which vessels are sailing to one of several hundred ports in a given date range.
If you are interested in participating in the test phase of Ahoy!, launched by Cargo Info Africa, FTW's sister publication on the internet, this is your opportunity to join other shippers who are already involved.
Email Cargo Info Africa editor Philipp Pfeifer on philippp@nowmedia.co.za and the first readers to reply will be added to the test group.
