Ray Smuts CAPESPAN's Wendy Anyster is overwhelmed and elated at having been voted Manager of the Year by the Black Management Forum. Anyster, previously human resources development manager at Eskom before joining the fruit marketer two years ago as group organisational development manager charged with developing and implementing change management, is completing her Master's degree in organisational psychology through the University of Cape Town. Main speaker at the dinner celebrating the 25th anniversary of the BMF was its deputy president Bonang Mohale who said although there was enthusiasm for the country's sound macro-economic policies and forging of closer trade links with Africa, the key challenges included direct foreign investment, poor job creation and economic imbalances among race groups.
