Bunkering course to be held in Durban

A one-day course in basic bunkering is to be held in Durban on May 10. Members of the International Bunker Industry Association (Southern Africa) will be in attendance to discuss various aspects of the industry.
The major aims of the course are to improve and clarify industry practices and documentation, and to increase the professional understanding and competence of those working in the industry, says the Association's chairman Ian Grayston.
These are among the primary aims of the IBIA, and were featured in the successful initial course we held in Cape Town recently, he says.
The IBIA was established to provide an international forum to address the concerns of all sectors of the bunker industry. It not only assists members in the event of disputes by identifying the options and exploring the alternatives open to them, but also increases public awareness of matters of concern to the bunker industry, he said.
The Durban course is to be held at ABSA stadium. For further information contact Andrew Duncan or Mark Wild on (021) 425-1140 OR FAX (021) 419-4083.
