Italian bulk handling specialist Bedeschi has increased its local representation in South Africa and Mozambique.

“Our expertise lies in design, engineering, fabrication and related services for bulk handling equipment,” says Marco De Lissandri, sales area manager for Africa Sub Saharan regions.

“We are delighted to have recently had the opportunity to work with LBH South Africa and Mozambique on a few potential projects.”

The company has design and manufacturing facilities in Italy, Germany and Australia.

It has a wide range of products which De Lissandri believes are well suited to the two KwaZulu-Natal ports.

“Both Durban and Richards Bay suffer from a lack of space for bulk cargo. There is a necessity to optimise back-of-port facilities to fill this gap,” he tells Freight News.
