Volumes have fallen for twelve consecutive months at the Port of Hong Kong.
The throughput in June was down 11.76% to 1.7 million TEUs compared to 1.9m last June, according to IHS Maritime 360.
Terminals operated by Hutchison Port Holdings at Kwai Tsing saw the biggest decline, with a drop in volumes of 14%.
In contrast, the Port of Shanghai’s throughput was up 4.4% in the first half of 2015, and it handled a total of more than 35 million TEU in 2014.
