Boerewors finds its way onto Shanghai menu

Peter H.Ehrenreich, regional Safmarine executive, hands over the donation cheque to Shanghai Charity Foundation chairlady Chen Tie Di at a charity golf day held in Shanghai recently. A TRADITIONAL braai under Shanghai skies provided a fitting end to the South African Consulate General’s first Charity Golf Tournament held in Shanghai last month. Arranged to promote South African tourism and benefit the Shanghai Charity Foundation, the tournament hosted over 130 guests from various industries who are all linked to the South African consulate in Shanghai. Safmarine was a key sponsor, and regional executive Peter H. Ehrenreich joined fellow Safmariners and key customers to bring the flavour of South Africa to China. Previously based in South Africa, Ehrenreich is upbeat about growth. “The Safmarine brand is not well developed in Asia except for the trade with South Africa and we are therefore expanding into trades from Asia to East Africa, West Africa and particularly to USA on the Trans Pacific,” he told FTW.
