EL-SHADDAI FREIGHT has issued a challenge to opposition freight companies
to donate blood for what
it has termed 'a worthy cause.'
Its staff were lined up last week when the Benoni Blood Transfusion Service visited its premises.
Their team were very friendly, says El-Shaddai's Bronwyn Appelby. We were petrified of those long, hungry needles, but their people calmed us down, relaxed us and the blood started flowing.
The actual pinprick on the finger was worse than the needle going into my arm! But we did get a kick out of the fact that the men were more afraid of the needles than us females.
But on a serious note, we want others in our industry to do the same. You can save a human life in this manner.
