In a combined project between the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) and Norwegianbased chemical carriers, JoTankers, 13 bursaries have been awarded to the top maritime learners at the Sithengile Secondary School – inland from Durban. The bursary scheme is now in its second year and JoTankers’ support includes a trip to the harbour and classroom lectures on various shipping topics.
