PERISHABLES SPECIALIST LauritzenCool Logistics (LCL) made its entry into the avocado export market with fanfare recently when it shipped ten thousand cartons of the fruit to the UK and Europe in two containers aboard the Pacific Reefer. The shipment was arranged on behalf of Westfalia. LCL, a subsidiary of the Danish J Lauritzen Group, was launched in February to provide a multi-destination, door-to-door logistics service.
