ANDY PRICE has been appointed regional executive for Gauteng at Maersk Line.
UK-born, Price joined Maersk in 1982 in Birmingham in the UK. He moved to Felixstowe five years later and was regional sales manager in London before relocating to South Africa.
With European Union regulatory approval having been granted to AP Moller for the Safmarine acquisition last Friday, it's all systems go.
General manager line management Jorn Nielsen told guests at a welcoming function for Price in Johannesburg last week that the two lines would continue to operate as separate entities.
