Leonard Neill AIR ZIMBABWE will introduce a second daily flight between Johannesburg and Harare on May 1, doubling the present cargo capacity between the two cities. The airline’s Johannesburg station manager Harry Senda has confirmed that the morning flight will have a marked effect on cargo loads. “We are battling for freight space on our Boeing 737-200 aircraft at present and this will make a big difference,” he said. “There is a normal three kilo capacity on each flight, and with businessmen seldom carrying more than a brief case when flying to and from Harare the same day, it means ample space for cargo.” Flights will leave Johannesburg at 07:05, arriving in Harare at 08:30. The late afternoon flight will not be affected. This leaves Johannesburg at 19:05.
