Low-cost airline, Skywise, has had its flights suspended by the Airports Company South Africa (Acsa), following a failure to pay airport charges for landing, take off, parking of aircrafts and other related service charges.
Skywise reportedly has to pay back R4 million to Acsa and R4 million to the Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS).
According to a press statement by Acsa, “the suspension shall be withdrawn as soon as Skywise Airline has made appropriate payments in accordance with the Airport Charges Regulations".
Skywise media manager, Martin Chemhere, said an official statement would be released later today.
