As part of a strategy to boost its Gauteng operations, Lovemore Bros has relocated a number of specialised abnormal trailers to Johannesburg. “The new vehicles and management team will be based in our existing Boksburg facility,” said company director Bruce Lovemore, “allowing for close communication between the rigging fleet and the abnormal transport fleet. “This should be of great benefit to our clients as they will have the assurance that their precious cargo is being handled under one single entity, minimising risk and maximising the efficiency of door-to-door delivery.” According to Lovemore, the company has also made substantial investments into its lowbed division to supplement ongoing investment in rigging equipment. Multi-axle modular trailers, selfpropelled trailers, and hydraulic goosenecks have been purchased and are already actively employed in Kwa-Zulu Natal. “This equipment is, however, equally available to our Gauteng clients on request,” he told FTW. Several of the company’s senior management have been relocated to Gauteng to grow the new team. Ricardo Yon is the manager tasked with establishing the lowbed division in Gauteng. “As our rigging divisions have made inroads into the Gauteng industrial space, we found that there was a strong demand for our versatile fleet of abnormal transport carriers to be available at short notice in the province.”
