The Department of Trade and Industry (The dti) extended an invitation to participate in the 6thInvestment and Trade Initiative (ITI) to India. This ITI is part of the dti's objective to create market penetration for South African value-added products and services in India and to promote South Africa as a trade and investment destination. The dti has planned a programme of activities, which will include trade and investment seminars, mini exhibitions, business-to-business meetings and site visits.
Dates: 23 to 27 February 2015. Cities: Kolkata and Hyderabad
This invitation is open to manufacturers and exporters in the following sectors: (i) Agro-processing (Fruit juices; fresh, dried and canned fruit; olive oil; canned foods; sauces etc.); (ii) Chemicals (Agro-chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients, chemicals for sewage treatment, cosmetics, plastics and polymers); (iii) Mining/Minerals (Beneficiated metal products and jewellery); (iv) Capital Equipment (Mining equipment’s, safety equipment’s, infrastructure products equipment’s, fire fighting equipment’s and trucks).
This opportunity is open to companies seeking to attract foreign direct investment and project owners/managers seeking joint venture partnerships in the following sectors: Pharmaceuticals, Mining/ beneficiation, Infrastructure and Renewable energy.
