Business Development Manager

Our client is looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join their team and focus on securing new business opportunities across international freight forwarding and logistics solutions. This role is geared towards a true hunter - someone who thrives on opening doors, building relationships and converting opportunities into long-term clients. 

Duties:

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the clearing and forwarding sector.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
• Conduct regular client visits and sales presentations.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
• Prepare and present logistics solutions tailored to client requirements.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and close new business deals.
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure successful client onboarding.
• Drive account growth and retention through exceptional relationship management.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' external sales experience within clearing and forwarding (non-negotiable).
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets (non-negotiable).
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, including sea freight, airfreight, imports and exports.
• Established network within the logistics and supply chain sector advantageous.
• Ability to engage and negotiate with senior decision-makers.
• Highly self-motivated with strong business development skills.
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
