Required Qualifications:
- Three to five years related experience or on-the-job training. Certificate and or a qualification relating to this post advantageous.
- A good command of the English language.
- Must have strong numerical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be fully computer literate.
- A strong individual who will make a positive difference to the team.
- Freight or customs qualification is advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience of EasyClear is advantageous.
- Knowledge of OS and SOS Bondstore.
- Strong understanding of customs procedures and tariffing.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and their application.
Description:
- Frame and capture all types of customs entries, including RIB, RIT, XE, XIB, XRW, ELG, EIG, VOC’S, WH, DP, WE, IR, XDP, XGR, and XIR ensuring quality control of documents before submission.
- Prepare and process various customs documents in line with regulatory requirements.
- Perform tariffing and analyze Incoterms for shipments.
- Process landing orders and cargo dues for bulk and breakbulk shipments.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all data entries are correct and up to date.
- Assist with other general office duties as required to support operational efficiency.
