Senior Clearing & Forwarding Controller

Hands-on, versatile, professional & mature individual with proven experience in shipping & logistics management, preferably in a supervisory role for this South African Import & Export company. Stand-alone position as this person will solely run with the Import/Export department. Prepare & process all export & import documentation, framing customs entries (EUR1, SAD500/550/SADC, Bsc, Cargo Due, etc) using Shipshape. Knowledge of relevant shipping regulations & documents (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Customs declarations). Familiar with international trade compliance, including export/import regulations & restrictions. Strong understanding of transportation modes, ocean freight, road freight & air freight including negotiation of contracts with transportation carriers. Salary +/-R25 000k.
