Grade 12
3 or more years of relevant operational experience in freight forwarding or customs clearing
Demonstrated ability to analyse operational transactions and identify process or data issues within a software system
Strong understanding of shipment workflows and operational documentation used in the logistics industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on-site in Kempton Park

My client that develops logistics software used by freight forwarders is seeking a Logistics & Systems Support Specialist
Responsibilities:
Receive and resolve inbound customer queries
Investigate system issues by analysing shipment records, customs data, and transaction history
Recreate scenarios internally to diagnose root cause of bugs, data discrepancies, or workflow failures
Escalate complex issues to the Development
Test new features and fixes prior to production release and provide feedback
Provide remote guidance or training to customers on system modules and correct workflows
Identify recurring issues and contribute to improvements in documentation, support processes, and system usage guidance
Freight & Operational Knowledge
Strong understanding of freight forwarding and logistics operations end-to-end
Experience with core processes: Estimates, Forwarding workflows, Customs formalities, and Invoicing
Familiarity with customs declarations, tariff logic, HS codes, Incoterms, and SARS processes
Understanding of how data flows between TMS, ERP, accounting, and carrier systems
Analytical & Critical Thinking
Diagnoses system and data issues independently — traces root cause, not just symptoms
Communication
Bridges operations teams and developers — communicates accurately to both audiences
