Logistics major Ziegler South Africa will open an office in Cape Town by the middle of this year in a bid to expand its national reach. Paul Lawrence, managing director of Ziegler, told FTW that this decision follows several new projects earmarked for the Western Cape, including a new solar plant. “Our overall two-to five-year strategy is to expand into Africa,” said Lawrence, adding that Mozambique would be part of this focus. As part of the company’s overall expansion strategy, Lawrence the team would also focus on further development of the European route over the next three to four years.
