Global logistics provider
Ziegler South Africa
will soon move its Gauteng
operations to larger
premises to offer additional
warehousing facilities in
Johannesburg.
“We will also use this
strategically for cargo going
up north via our Beitbridge
office,” said Ziegler SA chief
operations officer, Paul
Lawrence. Gauteng is still the
most important hub for cargo
moving north over border and
is generally more cost effective,
he added.
“Gauteng is the economic
powerhouse of South Africa,
with the majority of large
companies and decisionmakers
based in Gauteng. It
therefore remains the most
important region for us in
terms of sales and signing up of
new clients, as well as servicing
our existing client base.”
