Women in shipping organisation gets new president

The Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (Wista) has announced that it has a new president – Elpida Petraki.

A member of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, Petraki found her foothold in the industry at Greek tanker business ENEA Management, which she joined in 1998.

The announcement of Petraki’s appointment coincides with Wista’s survey results of gender-based abuse in the seafarer trade (read post: https://tinyurl.com/yhuhcyud).
