In a Government Gazette dated 24 August 2012 the Department of Health, in terms of the Tobacco products Control Act, published “Regulations Relating to the Display of Tobacco products at Wholesale and Retail”, on which comments are due by 24 November 2012. The notice contains definitions for “carton”, “cigarette shipper”, “confectionery”, “display”, “package”, “packet”, “premises”, “product line”, “sales unit”, and “specialist tobacconist premises”.
