WBCG leader to become Namibia’s top roads executive

Namibia’s Road Authority (RA) has announced that the CEO of the Walvis Bay Corridor Group (WBCG), Mbahupu Hippy Tjivikua, will take over from current RA head, Dr Conrad Lutombi, from December 1.

The announcement was made internally by RA board chairperson Martins Kambulu.

The appointment of Tjivikua, a respected figure in cross-border logistics involving the Port of Walvis Bay, will include a one-month transition period.

This is to ensure business continuity as Lutombi prepares to vacate his seat at the end of December.

“The Board is confident that his expertise and vision will continue to propel the RA forward in delivering on its mandate,” Kambulu wrote in the notice.

He said Lutombi would be remembered for his leadership, dedication and significant contributions during his tenure at the RA.
