In two Government Gazettes notices appeared in respect of the exportation of ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste and scrap. The first was “Draft export control guidelines on the exportation of ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste and scrap”. The second was “Draft policy directive on the exportation of ferrous and non-ferrous waste and scrap metal”. The products in question are amongst others ferrous, copper, nickel, aluminium, lead zinc, tin, manganese, vanadium. Comment on both notices is due by 22 February 2013.
