Virgin's extra CT flights begin next month

VIRGIN ATLANTIC Airways will reintroduce its direct London-Cape Town service next month offering two flights a week until May. In addition there will be five flights a week during December, all operated by Airbus A340-300s. The airline plans to introduce the new A340-600 aircraft on the South African route as a whole next year, although its ultimate intention is to use the larger Boeing 747-400 at some stage in the future. This is part of Virgin's plans to increase services to Africa - with South Africa the main target - the Far East and the Indian subcontinent during the next few years. Nationwide is the airline's domestic link within South Africa.
