On 10 February 2023, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duties on windscreens for vehicles, classifiable in tariff subheading 7007.21.20, originating in or imported from the People’s Republic of China, up to and including 09 August 2023.
The rates of provisional anti-dumping duties differ, depending on the manufacturer and exporter:
- Windscreens for vehicles, manufactured or exported by Dongguan Kong Wan Automobile Glass Limited [18.36%]
- Windscreens for vehicles, manufactured or exported by BSG Auto Glass Co. Ltd [19.45%]
- Windscreens for vehicles, (excluding those manufactured or exported by Dongguan Kong Wan Automobile Glass Limited and BSG Auto Glass Co. Ltd) [26.67%]
