On 15 May 2026, the South African Revenue Service (Sars) informed that, with effect from 15 May 2026, in terms of Part 2 of Schedule No.4 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 (‘General Rebates of Customs Duties, Fuel Levy and Environmental Levy’) by the insertion and substitution of various items under Rebate Item 460.15 to provide for a rebate facility on various steel products.
